5 stunning restaurants in Berlin
1) Crackers
The once famous Cookies Club in Mitte closed its doors recently and has been transformed into a super cool new restaurant with high quality Charolais beef dishes on the menu. Crackers is the latest venture of Heinz Gindullis, the food entrepreneur who has given the Berliners yummy vegetarian options like Chipps and Cookies Cream. There are DJ dinner sets on Fridays and Saturdays.
2) Cumberland Restaurant
The Cumberland building has a long history that not every Berliner is aware of. Entering the Cumberland Restaurant or their wine bar is like stepping into another era. We especially love to sit on the terrace in summer. Expect classic French Cuisine with a modern twist. Open Tuesday till Saturday from 12:00 till 15:00 and from 18:30. Wine bar 15:00 - 22:00.

3) The Grand
A restaurant, bar and club in one. The restaurant is specialised in beef dishes and offers a lunch menu du jour and a vegetarian dish or grill of the week. The old school swing bar serves excellent drinks and a nice selection of cigars. And if you feel the need to go clubbing, just go upstairs to their equally stylish club and party on.
4) Ora
This magnificent pharmacy was built in 1860 and turned into a modern bar and restaurant in 2015. This is a real Wiener-style Kaffeehaus, which means it’s open all day. You should definitely try the cinnamon buns for breakfast. And after that’s, there’s lunch, and after lunch, there’s tea and cake. And after that, there are cocktails – they have excellent signature drinks here, created by the bartender.
5) Pauly Saal
Everything about this restaurant is classy: the building, the chairs, the chandelier, the drinks, the clients, and the inner courtyard. Housed in a former Jewish girls’ school in the heart of Mitte, this is a fantastic place to dine or just to sip a cocktail at the bar. Be sure to visit the EIGEN+ART Gallery on the third floor of the same building.
