Los Angeles, often regarded as the most football-friendly city in the U.S., will host eight FIFA World Cup matches starting in June. Though the games will be held at Los Angeles Stadium (or as the locals call it, 'SoFi Stadium'), the action will be everywhere, with a wide array of watch parties and events across the city.
5 things to do during the World Cup in Los Angeles
1) La Cita
Known for its busy dance floor and lively patio, this downtown bar is a great, unofficial venue for watching the World Cup matches. Watch the game, have a Paloma, and then hit the dance floor to some cumbia and soak up all there is to love about Los Angeles.

2) La Plaza de Cultura y Artes
This vibrant museum and cultural center in downtown Los Angeles will serve as Casa México, the official hospitality house for Mexico's team during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This community-centered hub will offer live watch parties of the Mexican National Team, including the kick-off match between Mexico and South Africa on June 11.

3) Randy's Donuts
This iconic building greets travelers from LAX with an appropriate, L.A.-sized offering: a giant donut sits atop the modest shop. Sweeten up. on the way to the stadium, with the most famous donut in town — open since 1953, Randy's Donuts is so symbolic of the city, you'll often see it in films and TV (Iron Man II, Mars Attacks!).

4) Echo Park Lake
To ensure that the World Cup celebration reaches every part of the city, the city is sponsoring free 'Kick It In the Park' events across the city from June 11 to July 19. Along with live match screenings, there will be soccer clinics for kids and other family-friendly activities. One of the party locations is this popular park, which was built in 1868 as a drinking reservoir and now features paddle boats shaped like swans. Don't miss the fruit and paletas vendors.

5) Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
The historic sports arena, an L.A. landmark that hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984, is the site for an opening weekend (June 11 to June 14) celebration called the FIFA Fan Festival. Along with a concert on June 10, the ticketed events will include watching the matches happening around the world together in a global celebration. The best way to get to this iconic venue is to take public transportation (the Metro E line — go early and check out other Exposition Park attractions or the nearby University of Southern California campus).
