What Miguel loves most about Lisbon

"The perfect balance it has found between its two identities: the city is comfortable with its rich history of more than 1000 years and at the same time it is also Europe’s most vibrant and youthful capital of today. Lisbon breathes a radiant feel-good atmosphere, also much thanks to its colourful and poetic inhabitants."

"LISBON BREATHES A RADIANT FEEL-GOOD ATMOSPHERE THANKS TO ITS COLOURFUL INHABITANTS."

Miguel's perfect day in the city might look like this

"I'd start with breakfast at Mercado da Ribeira, the traditional market in Cais Sodré - and of course it's also a good idea to visit the fruit, vegetable and flower stalls while you're there.

Afterwards I'd suggest a visit to the ancient neighbourhoods of Alfama and Castelo: their narrow medieval streets and alleyways are the perfect setting to get lost in. My favourite place for lunch would be the Santo António de Alfama restaurant, especially if you can get a table under the vines on their terrace.

To end the day a drink at Pub Lisboeta in Príncipe Real is always a good idea. Then stroll down to Chiado for dinner at bistro 100 Maneiras."
