5 hotels with a good story in Munich

1) Deutsche Eiche

From around the 1950s onwards, this hotel became a meeting place for artists, hedonists and homosexuals who were still prosecuted back then. Over the years, it became home to a lively scene with famous guests including Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Freddy Mercury. Still a beacon of the gay scene. Their huge men’s sauna, on four floors, is open to the public.
