Once a year, what this district stands for is cast into sharper relief than usual: during the Münzviertelfest, arts and culture venues, many social facilities and the central library open their doors and backyards. The initiatives and residents went onto the streets in 2002 with the question “How do we want to live?”. They’ve played a palpable role in shaping the Münzviertel ever since.
