1) Piet Moodshop
Christophe Verbeke started out with a pop-up store selling inspiring design and fashion. He now has a permanent shop in an old interior with a beautiful tiled floor. Verbeke’s carefully-curated selection includes beautiful objects by Martin Margiela and Tom Dixon. He opened a beautiful second store in 2018 at Hippoliet Lippensplein 22, where the focus is more on office supplies, notebooks and quirky gadgets.

2) Atelier Ecru
After bringing hip fashion brands to Ghent in his Rewind stores, Christophe Urbain launched an interior design shop in 2017. Located in an impressive white mansion, Atelier Ecru stocks original handcrafted bowls, quirky furniture by Rick Owens and colourful design objects by Moroso.

3) Huiszwaluw
A beautiful interior design shop with bare wood floors, whitewashed brick walls and vases filled with flowers. The owner has a passion for affordable Scandinavian design, including modern wallpaper by Miss Print and Lightyears lamps.

Ophélie Van Aerde has created an inspiring concept store in an old Ghent town house. She sells a unique selection of books, vintage furniture, fashion accessories and odd things for the kitchen. You can also drop in for a coffee, a beer tasting evening or stay the night in the B&B upstairs.
