The 5 most secret streets in Ghent

1) Turrepoortsteeg

A forgotten lane runs between high brick walls off the Hoogstraat. It takes its name from the 13th-century Turrepoort city gate that once stood here. The lane passes below an old white house decorated with a religious shrine containing a little Virgin and Child lit by two lamps.
