An abandoned industrial site near Leuven station is being transformed into a new urban quarter. The most exciting development is the renovation of a huge abandoned railway workshop called Hal 5, which reopened in 2017 as a food hall, indoor adventure playground and hub for experiments in urban living. But it is a temporary project which will run for five years.
