"We’d start with a morning bike ride to any one of the city’s Wulff & Konstali Food Shop locations for a long, slow breakfast or brunch with at least three cups of coffee. After brunch, it’s time to bike through the winding streets of the city centre, stopping off at Politikens Boghandelto pick up a paperback or two, to Wardrobe 19 to peruse the latest in quality menswear, and then to Paper Collective, one of the city’s ‘5 best places for graphic paper and art’.
After that, we’d pick up a picnic lunch of rosemary frites from Un Mercato and the famous duck sandwich from Ma Poule (one of the ‘5 must visit stalls at the Torvehallerne') and then we’d bike over Dronning Louises Bridge to find a place along the Copenhagen lakes to picnic, people watch, and soak up some sun.
After this, we’d either (A) head to Jægersborggade, one of the city’s ‘5 best shopping streets’, for nitrogen ice cream at ISTID (our favorite ice cream in the city) and an espresso at Coffee Collective or (B) bike along the lake and head up the coast toward Charlottenlund Fort and beach for the evening.
Lastly (if we can find a babysitter that is) we’d have to hire a GoBoat from Islands Brygge and spend the long summer evening cruising Copenhagen Harbor and enjoying cold drinks from Ølsnedkeren, one of ‘the 5 best Danish microbreweries'."
