5 places to catch a food truck in San Francisco
1) Off The Grid
On Friday nights, crowds convene here with over a dozen food truck options, a band and other live performances. These occur during the Spring to Fall months when the weather is warmer. As it is located by the waterfront, be sure to wear extra layers and maybe bring a blanket.
2) Presidio Picnic
During the warmer months and on Sunday only, pack some blankets and lawn chairs and head to the Presidio for this massive daytime lawn party. There are a great number of trucks offering food and drinks. Plus the location offers perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge and waterfront.
3) SoMa StrEat Food Park
It’s called a culinary carnival and urban playground, as there are food trucks, booze, carnival games, TVs and Wi-Fi. Lots to entertain you while you eat. This one is also open daily and you can check the schedule online to preview the food options. They also host trivia nights here.
5) Off The Grid
Rain or shine, plenty of food trucks line up inside the tunnel for this one. It is held every Wednesday and Friday from 11 am to 2 pm and serves the downtown crowd. Visit the website to see which trucks will be popping up.
