Admire the port of Rotterdam from this waterfront terrace in the former dry docks. It’s located close to where the Waterbus arrives and departs (stop: Heijplaat). RDM-Kantine serves a healthy lunch, Dudok pastries, a scrumptious Dok burger and has a simple drink menu. Don’t arrive too late, they close at 5 pm.
There are so many bars with terraces located in the old harbour, that it’s difficult to choose one. So just let yourself be guided by the rays of the sun and the available chairs. It’s one of the busier locations in Rotterdam, so it’s a good spot for people watching from early in the morning till late in the evening.

Soif is a down to earth cafe/restaurant with a fantastic location: in historic Delfshaven, next to Lage Erf Bridge. On summer evenings, the terrace on the floating pontoon is a fabulous place to have dinner. Between the grape vine and olive trees and with a view over the river Schie you’ll instantly feel as if you’re on holiday far far away.

Located inside the cruise terminal, Cafe Rotterdam has a prime location on the south bank of the river. From the raised terrace you can watch majestic cruise ships and fast ferries sail by while enjoying a good glass of wine with a crostini or some oysters.
