The 5 best Vegetarian restaurants
Even if you’re not a vegetarian, simpleRAW is worth a visit. Located on one of the coolest streets in Vesterbro, simpleRAW has something for everyone: incredible juices, truly creative raw food options, and an interesting ‘raw timber’ interior design that complements the menu. Recommended: the quinoa burger with apple ginger dressing.
42Raw is an entirely vegan, up-and-coming chain of raw food eateries in and around Copenhagen, which means there are several locations to choose from. 42Raw specializes in fresh, sustainable food that is prepared in a dehydrator (not an oven) and never heated above 42 degrees celsius (hence the name).
This wholesome eatery was founded by an Australian duo and vegan chef Neel Engholm. With a creative, meatfree menu and a plenty of laidback
Østerbro charm, Souls is a friendly neighbourhood spot that’s well worth a visit. Highly recommended: the ‘Soulful BBQ Mushroom Sandwich.’
For over two decades, the cosy, volunteer-run Morgenstedet ‘dining club’ has been one of Copenhagen’s best vegetarian restaurants. Hidden away in the independent commune of Christiania, both the chefs and the menu at Morgenstedet rotate daily, which creates a lot of culinary creativity and diversity from day to day. Closed on Mondays.
