Jo Hoeven has turned a 19th-century family home into a stunning B&B filled with Dutch design objects and contemporary art. The three spacious suites are decorated in a quirky, unique style with bold fabrics, stacks of books and exotic plants, while the bathtubs are made out of baked clay.

An impressive neo-baroque corner house overlooking the old harbour has been lovingly renovated to create a unique B&B. The five rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, wood beams and odd antiques. It’s worth trying to book Kamer Louise in the turret which has a separate upstairs bedroom.

This stylish B&B is located in an old factory at the end of a narrow Bruges zakske (alleyway). It’s an interesting, quiet location just off Ezelstraat. The guest rooms are decorated in a clean modern style with wood floors, boldly coloured walls and designer lamps.

This beautiful B&B occupies a 1906 brick building on the Coupure canal. Originally a cafe, its name comes from a stone above the entrance carved with a whale. The owners carefully restored the building in 2018 in a quiet contemporary style while preserving original elements, including the old cafe sign.
